Launch of Maura Abad’s second book: An invitation to live awake

September 20, 2025

By Maura Abad

  • As in her first book, 42, the author addresses universal themes that are easy to identify with and establish a connection between the writer and the reader.

November is a month of poetry for Maura Abad, whose second collection of poems, “One Frame at a Time with Awareness,” was published in November, once again bringing a plethora of feelings and emotions synthesized in verses with which the author touches on universal themes of love, loss, and redemption.

This second book highlights Abad’s talent for expressing a wide range of emotions, demonstrating her intense commitment to continuing to deliver select, curated, and deeply emotional material with a great sense of transcendence.

“I am really excited about this second book. It means a lot to me, as these are poems I have been writing as a way of getting through difficult times, but they are also messages to the world, letters of love, hope, and a new meaning of life for anyone who needs them, or who simply enjoys poetry and the sensitive act of understanding the hearts of others” -said Abad during the launch of her second book.

This new book contains a total of 50 poems, which, like her first book, 42, address universal themes that are easy to identify with and establish a connection between the writer and the reader, thanks to a style that is accessible, fresh, and very personal, but also full of lyricism and depth.

In times when relationships, decisions, and the worldview in general face the challenge of superficiality and impermanence, when quick and ephemeral pleasure begins to permeate the deep substratum of society, “One Frame at a Time with Awareness” is a call to live in the present, with full awareness, as a way to celebrate life and appreciate the miracle of existence.

The courage to face pain and loss brings as a reward a clarity of consciousness that enriches existence and gives depth and meaning to the simplest everyday life.

This work is now available on Amazon and on the author’s website https://mauraabad.me/
