The power to inspire
Maura volunteers with the Reliability Leadership Foundation, an organization that supports education and learning about sustainability, digitalization, and people and culture at work in the context of reliability and asset management. She holds a master’s degree in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Prosci certifications in change management, and she just won the Nebraska Toastmaster of the Year award in 2025.
“I want to discover, learn, and explore my impact on this world. My personal goals are focused on being myself, advancing in my career, connecting with people around the world, constantly learning, focusing my energy on what matters most, being respectful, grateful, positive, and humble, and having a positive impact on planet Earth.”
Continue discovering, creating, growing...
This personal process of loss and acceptance brought this work to light, tinged not only with her personal experiences but also with the beneficial influence of great authors such as Maya Angelou, Rumi, and José Martí.
“42” emerges from a deep desire to observe the fabric of life in all its magnitude, honoring love, embracing joy and pain, expressing the colors of the soul and the desire for healing and integration of past experiences, bringing the hidden song of the heart to the pen. Its title refers to the age of the author when she finished her debut work.
I also have a keen interest in film production. Following the creation and release of my short film Memento Vivere, I had the opportunity to start out as an Executive Producer. I co-wrote the script for this short film with the director, Alberto Pablo, and was heavily involved in all aspects of filming and production in general. Memento Vivere is my debut as an Executive Producer, and it is an area in which I will continue to work. I was fortunate to work with excellent Ecuadorian professionals and actors, and since Ecuador is my second home and the land where I grew up and learned to love, I feel committed to continuing to support the film industry in that country. There is a lot of talent, and I have many ideas to develop.
