Magenta Productions LLC and New Rock Cinema will jointly develop new film projects
The association between Magenta Productions LLC and New Rock Cinema has been instrumental in the creation of several internationally acclaimed films and film projects.
Magenta Productions LLC, the firm recently founded by writer and producer Maura Abad, formally announces its association with the Ecuadorian firm New Rock Cinema, led by filmmaker Alberto Pablo Rivera. Recently, Maura Abad released her latest film project, Pure Love, an animated short film that explores the value of love for pets, in this case dogs. Pure Love was written and produced by Maura, and directed by Alberto Pablo Rivera, marking their third collaborative project.

Maura Abad began her career as an author, writer, and executive producer by developing various literary and film projects and is now the founder and CEO of Magenta Productions LLC. The Abad-Rivera duo began with Maura’s first short film, Memento Vivere, an impeccable and deeply sensitive cinematic work that addresses the themes of grief, farewells, loss, and the resolve to move forward despite life’s complexities. Memento Vivere featured brilliant performances by Frances Swett and Marcelo Galvez, is inspired by the book “42 Poems. It’s All About the Context,” Maura’s first collection of poems, published last year and available on her website.
The second film, From Out There, was created entirely using Artificial Intelligence—the first of its kind in Ecuador—and received a notably warm reception from the specialized press and social media. Written and produced by Maura and directed by Rivera, this work was honored with the AI Film award at the 2026 Cannes Festival. The award ceremony will take place in Dubai this May.
